What customers say?

“ Food is great, service is okay, and the place is alright. Ordered bbq pork noodle, pineapple bun and peanut butter toast, with lemon ice tea. Very flavorful and reasonable priced. ”

“ The food are super yummy. Party of 10 and waited less than 30 min. The place is super busy. The porridge is very large in size! We ordered a lot and none of them were disappointing! Will come back the next time we come to LA area again! ”

“ Waited 45 in the morning for a table. Pork chop and chicken steak is crispy and tender. Kid liked the fried noodles and rice noodles in sesame sauce is good. Porridge is good. Pineapple bun with butter the best, cold butter in warm buns. Only the drinks not good. ”

“ This place reminds me of the old days when I used to live in Hong Kong for 3 years in the late 70's. Place is loud, vibrant with people who usually talk loudly with very descriptive language, and food is very Chinese style and tasty. Unlike cafes in (real) Hong Kong, this place is clean; clean floor, restroom, and clean utensils (up to US standards). We usually go there very late at nights when we return from a trip, and it's comforting to know there's still a place open late. Their operation hours at 8AM-2AM! We've also tried their breakfast; excellent jook/ congee, HK style milk tea, and pineapple buns. ”

“ Another excellent HK cafe in the SGV area, with some Macau-specific foods. The theme is decorated very much to Macau inspirations, and the cafe menu is pretty standard and has all the comfort foods you'd like. I love stir fried rice roll noodles, and it was crispy on the outside and the right amount of savory. Chewy texture was so good! The beef noodles, shrimp rice noodles, and baked rice were all pretty good as well. Chicken leg rice plate portion was decent and covered with a really nice sauce. I like that they have different items compared to other HK cafes in the area! ”

“ Great food and very busy. Macau Beef and Hainan Chicken with rice. $16.99 good portions, food similar to Hong Kong Cafe ”

“ Fast service and a fun, thoughtfully designed space. The decor is interesting and eye-catching, and the menu offers a wide variety of bold, flavorful dishes. The chicken rice really stands out. The rice is incredibly fragrant with chicken fat, and the chicken itself is tender with just the right amount of chew. The ginger oil dipping sauce is excellent—fragrant, savory, and ties everything together perfectly. The beef udon stir-fry was a pleasant surprise. It’s been a long time since I’ve had beef cooked properly. The beef slices were juicy and melt-in-your-mouth tender, yet still had that satisfying firmness you want from good-quality beef. The seafood curry and seafood chow fun with egg weren’t especially memorable, but the flavors were still solid and well-seasoned. That said, the egg sauce on the stir-fried noodle was a bit over, making the dish too wet and overpowering the classic dry, silky texture that stir-fried noodle should have. Thankfully, the dish wasn’t completely drowned in sauce, so you could still catch some of that smoky wok hei, but the excess moisture did take away from the overall texture. This was probably the weakest dish for me. The iced lemon tea was refreshing, aromatic, and tasted very close to classic Lipton tea—light and easy to drink. It also seemed like free refills were available, which is a nice bonus. Overall, the restaurant clearly invests in both its decor and food. Many of the dishes are quick-prep or use pre-prepared ingredients, but they’re executed well. Definitely worth checking out, especially for the chicken rice and beef udon. ”

“ I came here for lunch to try the food. I came here during their afternoon tea specials. Some items on that list were not even specials; they were regular price. They ran out of house special pork spare ribs and Portuguese style stir-fried salted cod with potatoes. I ordered the Singaporean fried rice vermicelli and the Portugese chicken. The vermicelli was good. The chicken was ok; it was more on the sweet side (from the coconut) and needed more rice. Adding the peppercorn and black pepper helped with the taste. It's a cute little restaurant with a nice Macau theme. Customer service was good. There's parking outside, but it may not be enough parking when it gets packed. If you pay with credit card, there's a minimum you need to spend ($15). I spent about $36 on the 2 dishes plus tip. ”
